Our aim as your local dentist in Leiston is not only to provide care of consistently high quality, but to make this care affordable. Practice closure and a lack of NHS dentistry has created a shortfall within Leiston and the surrounding area and this is a failing that we intend to resolve.
Our practice works closely with Denplan to offer a range of care packages that compliment a wide range of budgets. Promoting regular attendance and prevention is at our core. Potential issues detected and treated early will result in minimal loss of tooth tissue, reduced need for complex treatment, minimal deterioration of function and reduced financial cost. Prevention most certainly is better than cure.
I am not native to Suffolk but chose this part of the country to settle as it is simply stunning and easily my favourite region of England. I have most recently worked in private practice at Aldeburgh Dental Practice (2020- 2022) and BUPA Harleston (2017 – 2021). Prior to that I spent five gloriously sunny years working in Perth, Western Australia.
Work Interests: I still absolutely love the variety of general practice, even after nearly twenty years practicing, and particularly enjoy placing aesthetically pleasing white fillings and providing dentures that greatly improve function and appearance. I am a keen believer in prevention and take great pleasure in getting patients dentally fit and keeping them that way. There is no substitute for your healthy, natural teeth and gums - and they are free!
Non-Work Interests: I have two wonderful but playful young children, so spend most of my free time running after them, keeping them out of A&E or destroying our house. Prior to having children, when free time existed, I particularly enjoyed attending music festivals and concerts, the highlights being Glastonbury, Muse and watching Roger Waters perform "Dark Side Of The Moon" - quite possibly the greatest album ever made. My biggest regrets are never getting to see David Bowie or Queen perform or fly on Concorde and my greatest hero, other than my Dad, is Muhammad Ali.
